Darlene Bellamy-McCune

The Reverend Darlene B. McCune is the third of six children born to the late Herbert Lee Bellamy Sr., and Irene A. Bellamy of Buffalo, New York. Reverend Darlene was educated in the Buffalo Public School System and is a graduate of Canisius College of Buffalo, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science -Accounting. Rev. Darlene also graduated from the Payne Theological Seminary obtaining a Master of Divinity. Rev. McCune is an Itinerant Elder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) and enjoys ministering in song. Rev. McCune continues to serve in ministry with her husband. Rev. Darlene currently serves with her husband, Rev. Ron McCune as the consultant for the Manhattan District. He currently serves as the Presiding Elder of the Manhattan District-New York Conference of the First Episcopal District of the AME Church. The Manhattan District consist of fourteen churches located in Manhattan, Queens, and Westchester County, New York. Prior to his elevation to Presiding Elder, he served as Pastor to two churches for a total of seventeen years.

Concurrently, while serving with her husband, Rev. McCune has been employed by the Allen Women’s Resource Center(AWRC). AWRC is a safe haven for families who are survivors of domestic violence. Resources are provided to empower the families to seek greater opportunities to improve their family’s lives and housing prospects. In the past 20 years, she has been instrumental in the support and growth of over three hundred families. Rev. Darlene uses her gifts daily to encourage the parents and children to value their talents in the community and to continue to strive to do and be their best.

She is married to the Reverend Ron McCune and they have been blessed with two beautiful and gifted adult daughters, Shavon C. McCune-Mann and Crystall R. McCune-Leonard.
